It tells the story of three completely different families competing for the right to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion, which they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). I was surprised to see the show’s ratings so low, but it made more sense after seeing a bunch of reviews explaining how they didn’t get past the first episode. The show is a slow-paced detective story that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it too funny and entertaining with a Liz Feldman tone that I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s acting. At first, I wasn’t sure about Ray Romano because of my own prejudices (I couldn’t separate him from „Everybody Loves Raymond” for the life of me), but it went pretty quickly. All the characters have their own subplots that form a tangled web of chaos that gradually, though not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty much engrossed in the story, despite figuring out the main plot very early on. But I’m not upset about it. I’d love to see more of this show, and I really hope they get a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly — here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
