I was hesitant to watch this, due to the lack of common sense in most TV shows these days
Narrative
When maple syrup producer Ruth Landry sees her livelihood under attack from greedy competitors who were once her friends, she hatches a plan to get revenge and shake up the industry. Loosely inspired by the theft of $18 million in maple syrup from a warehouse in Quebec in 2011-2012; five people were sentenced to prison.
Likeable characters and light entertainment
But I’m glad I gave it a try. These are 30 minute episodes that are stupid, cheesy, funny, dramatic and gripping.
I’ve watched all 6 episodes and can’t wait for a season 2
A few cliffhangers to finish the series off on a high note. I would recommend checking this out and it’s a perfect length that fits nicely into a half hour show.
The French soundtrack is also captivating
Any longer and it would have gone on longer. I’ll look it up on YouTube Music.
